How to measure your ring size at home
You need a thin strip of paper or a piece of string, a pen and a ruler.
- Wrap the paper or string around the base of the finger you want to wear the ring on. It should sit snugly but slide over your knuckle.
- Mark the point where the end overlaps.
- Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres. This is your circumference.
- Find the closest value in the "Inside circumference" column. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
How to measure a ring you already own
- Choose a ring that fits the finger you have in mind.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter, from one inner edge to the other, in millimetres.
- Find the closest value in the "Inside diameter" column.
Tips for the right fit
- Measure at the end of the day, when your fingers are warm. Fingers are smaller in the cold and in the morning.
- Your dominant hand is often slightly larger.
- Wider pieces, such as stacks of linked rings (Charlotte Rose, Chamilla, Juliet Rose, Yellow Lady), can feel snugger than a thin band. If you are unsure, choose the larger size.
- Measure two or three times to be sure.
Adjustable, one-size and fixed-size pieces
- Adjustable rings: Aura (open band), Petal No. 1 and Zahra (open band) come in one size and adapt to your finger. Shape them gently, a little at a time.
- Jade and Chrissy are sold in one size and are not adjustable. If you are not sure they will fit, write to us before you order.
- Alma has a fixed size and is not adjustable: it comes in US 7 and US 8.
- Hand chains are one size.
